Who we are

We at SWASA Foundation Trust (previously SWASA Foundation, founded in 2009) work to Educate the society, Empower the people, Evaluate the needy and Effectively treat the diseased.

We are dedicated to improving lives affected by respiratory illness. Assessing the level of airway blockade is our primary objective.

Save Nature For Future is the slogan raised to emphasise the need to tackle the ongoing pollution our nature is facing, especially air pollution.

Educate

Reach the society with clear, evidence-based information on lung health, sleep, and the environment—so awareness spreads where it matters.

Empower

Support people with tools and guidance to take an active role in their care, understand airway health, and advocate for cleaner air.

Evaluate

Identify the needy through screening and outreach—measuring airway blockade and lung function so help reaches those who need it first.

Effectively treat

Care for the diseased with a focus on evidence-based treatment pathways, follow-up, and continuity—so disease is managed, not neglected.

What we do

Our programmes support the same goal: understanding airway blockade in the community—through education, camps, and objective lung tests.

  1. Awareness programmes at schools, colleges, old-age homes, orphanages, and through outreach camps—bringing lung health and clean-air messages where they matter most.
  2. Health camps for the same groups, including free peak flowmetry and free spirometry to assess airflow and help gauge the level of airway blockade—making screening and early detection more accessible.
  3. Awareness walks — to raise knowledge about a particular disease in the community that is both common and deadly, where simple precautions can prevent the disease.
  4. Health talks — on the occasion of important days we conduct health talks by experts in that field.
  5. Vaccination for health care workers who have high exposure to Hepatitis B and influenza cases.
  6. Distributing masks to the needy in highly polluted areas.

Pollution & the planet

POLLUTING THE PANCHABHUTAS is harming our mother earth, Swasa Foundation Trust stands for protecting nature as we protect healthbecause there is no separating the two!

The air we breathe is full of harmful gasses & toxic fumes causing diseases like allergies, asthma, COPD, ILD, Lung cancer, Heart disease & many other cancers.

Pollution harms our air, water, and ecosystems; it harms human health in the very same breath — we feel it everywhere!

Chairman’s vision

Founders Thought - To achieve a goal of providing Freedom To Breathe... to the people suffering with breathing problems, thereby they can Breathe Free & Build The Nation.

Protecting and healing lungs from pollution

“Save nature for the future.”

Our lungs mirror the world we breathe: polluted and COPD lung with bubbles on one side, and healthy lungs on the other side. Protecting nature is how we protect every breath…every life!

Education & social support

Alongside our health mission, the trust extends a hand where it matters—so that more people can learn, heal, and move forward.

  • Supporting a girl’s education — We have been providing for a girl’s schooling for over three years, helping her stay in education and plan for the future.
  • Medical bill support for the needy — Reimbursing medical expenses for poor patients who would otherwise struggle to pay for treatment.
  • Examination & college fees — Financial support so that people who cannot afford college fees can register for and write their examinations, qualify, and move forward in life.
  • AED at Hitech City Metro — Swasa Foundation Trust has donated an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at Hitech City Metro Station, in association with the Rotary Club of Hyderabad. The unit is installed so that members of the public can respond quickly when someone suffers a sudden cardiac emergency—helping to save lives in one of the city’s busiest transit hubs.
